Thanks to all at Royvon!

I had a very excitable 2 year old Labrador who basic recall, sit, stay, down etc was bad as he just wanted to go and say hello to everyone!!!! After a 3 week stay at Royvon Coventry, he is like a new dog! The trainer and all the staff have worked wonders. He walks nicely on and off the lead, will sit until I tell him to move and no longer jumps up. I’m really enjoying having a well-behaved dog and am spending lots of time reinforcing the training so we don’t slip back into old habits. The follow-up phone call the day after we left was also much appreciated! Thanks to all at Royvon!

Walks in the park are now a lot less stressful and more enjoyable

After 4 lessons my excitable year old gundog will now respond to commands, walk on the lead without pulling and return when called. A complete change to when we started the lessons a month ago. We continue to practice every day and follow the advice provided by the trainer.

The webcam daily update is a nice touch and the trainer is outstanding

Our retriever Trigger has just returned from a week residential training with Royvon Coventry training centre. He is set in his ways as a 7 year old and was a bit aggressive with other dogs he met on walks so it was this that we were looking for them to try to sort out as best they could in 7 days.
The setup is very informal and Trigger appeared very happy there, his socialising and one to one attention seems to have paid off with no obvious signs of aggression although we have yet to put this to the full test, the general advice was almost as helpful and some of these points we will be using.
Although the facilities at the centre are in the process of being developed, the people working there seem to have a genuine love of dogs and this is by far the most important aspect, this kennel was about 2 hours across county from our house in Reading so would be unlikely to travel just as a kennel.

The best for West Midlands Our Fur Babies

This place is a bit daunting at first but don’t be discouraged! I could tell that my little one was looked after beautifully by the staff – especially Jim, the ultimate dog person. Some improvements are required however. I would be happier with accommodation that had access to the outside. The Facebook photos are great but webcams would also be appreciated. That said I couldn’t be happier with the attitude or care of the staff and combining the kennel with a greyhound re-homing facility is very thoughtful. It is a nice reminder that not all dogs are as lucky or spoilt as yours. I was tempted to take one home with me!
